Antoon Vandeborght is internationally recognized as an inspiring teacher and mentor. His committed approach and insights have guided young musicians in their development both on the guitar and as a person. Over the years, several of his students were awarded prizes in national and international competitions and went on to become professional musicians themselves.
Since 2001 he teaches guitar and chamber music at the Music Conservatory of Leuven and at the Music Academy of Tienen. Additionally, he passionately shares his knowledge through masterclasses at festivals and schools all over the world.
Starting in 2007 he also has been co-developing the guitar method ‘Guitar Horizon’ aimed at the young guitarist. This method has since grown into one of the most commonly used in Flanders’ music schools. Currently, six books offer materials for absolute beginners to more advanced players. Besides contributing to the didactic outline he selects and arranges the Early Music, Classical and Romantic repertoire and records all the music for the books.
